Yankee Candle & Vera Bradley Mother’s Day Collection

Creative Direction, Graphic Design, Production

About the Project

For Yankee Candle’s Mother’s Day Collection, I served as the sole graphic designer on a limited-edition collaboration with Vera Bradley. This partnership was built around a custom floral pattern from Vera Bradley, which I translated across packaging and product components to create a cohesive, elevated experience.

The collection included two 3-wick candles, a coordinating tote, a hang tag, and a printed ScentPlug shade. I worked closely with the Vera Bradley creative team to ensure the pattern retained its personality while adapting seamlessly across Yankee Candle formats. Every detail from color matching to layout composition was thoughtfully directed to feel giftable, feminine, and brand-right for both partners.

The strong creative collaboration and clear art direction led to a campaign that felt fresh, premium, and highly shoppable, positioning the collection as a seasonal standout.

Print Production of the 3-Wick Candles

To elevate the 3-wick candles in the Vera Bradley collaboration, I designed a layered print file with a focus on premium finishes and thoughtful detailing.

  • Seamless Wax Window: I integrated Vera’s floral pattern with a die-cut peek-through to reveal the wax color, adding depth and a soft, textile-like touch.

  • White Opaque Layer: Used to boost ink vibrancy and clarity when printed on clear glass.

  • Matte Varnish (Cyan): Applied to the center badge to create contrast and softness.

  • High Gloss Varnish (Magenta): Added to select floral elements for light-catching dimension.

This build ensured that both beauty and production precision worked hand-in-hand to bring the design to life on shelf.
